I typically think of myself as an average guy with some nerdlike tendancies. Sometimes, however, I am faced with evidence that I may be more than a standard deviation from average in this respect.
Tonight, for example: like many other flight school students, I spent some time studying 5 and 9. Also, I had a two hour phone conversation about math, and then spent much time reading the python 2.6 changelog in anticipation of the 3.0 release.
Everybody does that. Right?
Heh! Last night I read through “What’s New in Python 2.6,” and a good part of the way into the documentation for the new multiprocess module before realizing the browser’s scrollbar thumb was only a small fraction of the way down the page, and I wasn’t going to finish it any time soon.
It looks like good stuff, in general, but I think I’m going to just wait for 3.0 in two weeks and handle all the transition issues then.
The people I know who would do that are probably not a good sample of the population, as they all went to WPI and most of them roomed with you at some point.
One reason I miss college so much is that it is very hard to find other such people around here.
)-:. We all miss you.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to spend some time with everyone when I get Christmas leave.
How long is your Christmas leave? We’ll be at Ryan’s parents’ from the 24th to the morning of the 26th, at which point we’ll be flying to MD until January 3rd. I don’t know how far your family lives from Ryan’s but maybe we could see you during the day of Christmas Eve?
I’ll probably be flying north on the 20th, and hoping to spend from approximately then through the 22nd with WPI people.
