“Russia has invaded a sovereign neighboring state and threatens a democratic government elected by its people. Such an action is unacceptable in the 21st century,” Bush said.

“Honestly, Russia, it’s not that hard,” he continued. “Just pick a non-neighboring state, with a non-democratic government if at all possible, and you can wage war for years without any major political repercussions. People only really care about a war if it’s in their own backyard or it has good sound bytes.”
