scaffolding

I didn’t write about my participation in the 4th of July ceremony on base, because it didn’t seem interesting at the time. I was on a detail putting up and taking down a large stage for the festivities, an activity that took up two full “vacation” days. After putting in all the work, it hardly seemed worth it to face traffic-paralyzing crowds to see the fireworks, so aside from the detail, the whole holiday was kind of low-key for me.

Today, though, I got access to this photo:

They do say that a picture is worth a thousand words.
