Water is falling from the sky in preposterous quantities. To be specific, my back door, which is not into the wind and is in fact sheltered from the rain by a balcony overhead, still has water splashing into my living room as though the solid glass of the door were not in fact there.
There’s no real danger of flooding, as my house sits on a spur and there is plenty of land lower that water would have to fill first, but I just thought it was worth commemorating what may be the densest* rain I’ve ever seen in my life.
* I’m actually talking about flow rate–gallons per second–not number of raindrops per square foot.
