Windows file systems are the horrible.
I unzipped a folder with many configuration and source files in it. These tend to be small ascii files–the zip file was around 23.5m. I unzipped it, and these were the results:
70,198 Files; 18,144 Folders
Size: 121 Mb
Size on Disk: 356 Mb.
These files are taking up three times the space they should; an average of 3.3k are wasted per file. What were they thinking?
