Security on Two Wheels

I got back to Worcester with my bicycle today. I’m really glad that it’s finally warm enough to use that as a mode of transportation, instead of walking everywhere. It’s much faster, easier, and is a whole lot more fun. Yes, technically I have a car (for this week at least, until my parents take it back) but I’d rather ride my bike around, given the choice.

I just wish I felt more secure leaving it places. Even locking the frame and front wheel, I have this worry that some lowlife will come around and take off the rear wheel, the seat… Maybe I’m not being logical here, but I do have the quick-release components, and I’ve seen enough locked-yet-dismantled bicycles in this city to worry. On campus is ok, but I think I’ll stick with walking to work for a while yet…
