Word Processing Secrets for Writers

So, I asked for cool things for Christmas, and everything I got was useful. With one exception: I got one of the funniest books that I have ever read… It’s called Word Processing Secrets for Writers, was written in 1989, and is so anachronistic that it’s absurd. I just got to a section entitled “Avoiding the Mistake of Thinking There’s Nothing Onscreen When There Is, Even If You Can’t See It.” This came right after a section called “CD ROM: Tomorrow’s Technology Today.” The entire first half of the book deals with the problem of setting up a computer with a Word Processor which is compatible with your printer, monitor, modem (if you decide to splurge and get one), etc.

One of the funniest things about the book, though, is that I’m not sure the person who bought it even knew how outdated it was.
