Well that’s a surprise. I’ve got final grades turned in for three of my courses, and one that’s still in processing because the professor somehow misplaced my midterm. With the posted grade guidelines and how I think I did on the midterm (anything above a 66%) I should be getting a B in that course. Of the other three, I got an A in ROTC, a Sufficient Progress in my Suff (which should be changed to an actual grade as soon as I turn it in, which should be soon), and a B in the course that I thought sure I had failed.
I’m amazed that I got a B in probability. I went into the final knowing basically none of the tested material, not because of a conceptual gap, but because the notes I had taken to the test with me were the wrong set; I had the wrong equations written down. All through the term, I was paying more attention to my other, more fun classes. Because after calculus, math just stopped being fun. Now, I’ve taken my last math course required to complete my degree, and I can focus on the things that interest me. I’m pretty sure that the only real requirements left before my degree are the CS 4000-level course requirements and the major projects.
As for Probability… I guess there was a chance that it could happen, and there’s a tail end to every bell curve. Mostly, I got lucky.
