Yesterday, two events of note occured. Somehow, the power to the top half of my room was restored. I suspect that the visit by the fire inspector and his note that the detector wasn’t working because of the lack of power inspired the house manager much more than my insistance that power is a good thing. At about the same time, the internet went out, because the house is switching providers, I think. At any rate, we no longer get a dial tone when using the phone, which means that the DSL which was being shared by everyone in the house is also down. I’m hoping that this is remedied quickly, because for me and every other CS major in the house, the internet is a necessary part of our lives. Because we get our assignments via the internet, and turn them in the same way.
Other than that, nothing is up.
